The Holy Hand Grenade, a staple of the Worms series, made its debut in the 1997 Amiga-exclusive "Worms: The Directors Cut". The weapon at the time resembled a standard grenade with an ethereal blue aura and did not yet have the distinctive cross markings and golden tint that would become easily recognizable in Worms 2 onwards.
